ATEM Auto Switch Privacy Policy
ATEM Auto Switch automates camera changes for Blackmagic switchers using audio follow video and scheduling rules. The desktop companion keeps control data local while enabling optional cloud sync.

What We Collect
We collect only the information needed to operate ATEM Auto Switch, support live productions, and protect your environment.
Operator Accounts
Email addresses and hashed passwords for operators who sign in to share presets between machines.
Device & Audio Profiles
Switcher models, audio channel thresholds, macro scripts, and routing presets created by the production team.
Automation Logs
Timestamps of camera take events, failover triggers, and manual overrides captured for diagnostics.
Optional Telemetry
Crash dumps and performance statistics that help us monitor software stability. This telemetry can be disabled in Settings.
How We Use Data
- • Sync automation presets across authorized operator machines.
- • Provide recovery after network interruptions by replaying recent commands.
- • Generate incident timelines used by support engineers to diagnose issues.
- • Improve automation accuracy through aggregated, anonymised telemetry trends.
Third-Party Integrations
Integrations are optional and operate under strict contracts. Credentials remain encrypted and under your control.
Blackmagic Design ATEM
IP addresses and admin credentials for the customer switcher remain local and are never sent to Phanda Studios servers.
Live Event Grafix
Optional integration sends metadata about queued graphics to coordinate camera changes with playout.
Backup Storage
Encrypted configuration backups can be stored on the customer’s infrastructure or Phanda Studios’ cloud according to preference.
Retention & Security
Automation logs are stored for 14 days by default and can be purged sooner by the operator. Cloud backups are retained for the length of the support contract plus 30 days.
Support & Data Requests
- • Operators can export automation logs via the desktop app to share with support.
- • Disable telemetry at any time to prevent diagnostic data from leaving the device.
